bij de restauratie van een leak tuner vond ik deze tekst: A final tweak worth doing is to check the Foster-Seeley discriminator coil (T4 on the circuit and the one located next
to the fuse at the rear) to see if it has a modification that reduces the output from the discriminator. The
modification involves soldering a 100K carbon resistor in parallel with each of the balanced halves of the discriminator
coils, so two resistors in total. This reduces the output from the discriminator and lowers the distortion inherent in
the discriminator due to its high output that was required when configured for mono.

Door de hogere modulatie niveau's van CD's zou dit misschien een middel zijn om de vervorming van de discriminator te beperken: 2 weerstandjes van 100k.
