Acec Radiofil 205 schematic (Algemeen)

door Thierry Magis ⌂, east Belgium, 20.07.2008, 11:15 (5971 dagen geleden)

Hello,

I'm searching the schematic of the ACEC Radiofil model 205.

It's a combination of radio, pick-up and wire recorder. It was released in 1950-51... Very complicated machine with a lot of tubes! Big and heavy, more than 40kg. Pictures soon! :-)

I found it recently, like new! The people who buy it (new) put it back in the original carton box after a few years of use. And it stays inside the box for more than 40 years! I got it complete, with user manual, wires, microphone, accessories, and of course the original box!

I will start soon the restoration (after finishing my Sforzando amplifier), it will be more easy with the schematic I guess !
I know there is a few Belgians who comes here... Maybe, maybe... :-)

You can reply in nederlands, i can read it...

Many thanks and regards,
Thierry

Hi Thierry,

How sure are you about the type "Radiofil 205"?
I could find some pictures of the Radiofil 251 from 1951, being a radio with a build-in taperecorder.

Regards,
Paul

Hello Paul,

Yes, absolutely sure ! I't written on the rear panel, and I own the complete user's guide. But not the schematic.

It's the "high-end model" of the Radiofil's ! :-)

Here's the first page of the manual, showing the model. Very big (almost the size of a 60cm TV!) and heavy : 40kg !

I received already the schematic of a Sonofil, it's only the pick-up and wire recorder, without the radio.

Regards,
Thierry

I don't have my camera at home now (my wife take it with her for a travel), but here's the link of the Ebay sale. The pictures are still on the page.

the sale

I know, expensive... :-( But it's really a hard-to-find appliance, especially in this exeptionnal condition.

Thierry

Hi Thierry,

I thought "maybe a type error 205 <=> 250"......
In that case, I cann't find a schematic for you.

Paul

hello Maurice,

Almost NOS ! The first owner used it for a few years (recording his children and radio), and then he put it back in the carton and keep it like that for more than 40 years.
Even the protection cloth (in the carton, avoiding scratches) is still there.

I buy it to his daughter, who discovered it when emptying the house...

I was really surprised nobody else bid on Ebay, I was the only one... Maybe the starting price was too high, I don't know. But for me it's ok, I was ready to give more. :-) Hard to find model, especially in this condition.

I have all the accessories : manual, magnetic wires reels, ... and the buyer told me recently he found the microphone, in perfect condition. I will go soon at their house, to have it !

It seems like this radio directly comes out from the Acec factory !

regards,
Thierry
