Grundig 97 radio spares (Techniek Radio/TV)

Hi. I have a Grundig type 97 tube/valve radio (1958)that I require spares & information on. I require a replacement l.w ferroceptor coil (present one has been flattened out of shape), and on the U.K.W band, the switching seems to have been internally "welded" in to position, I have measured the contacts, but I can not get the U.K.W to perform, The other bands seem to work ok.
Can anyone suggest any remedies or do I have to purchase a replacementpress button switch bank?
The set has a distinctive red coloured cabinet. Also, is there any way of converting my radio to British 240v r.m.s mains supply?

Grundig 97 radio converting 240 to 220

Hello Mike ,
you can use a low voltage transformer on the 240 mains and take (about) 220 out ,
i.g. an 240 to 20 , use the 2 coils serial for 240 in , take the 221,5 out at the original 240 .
Current for the radio is through the 20 V coil , so a small transformer with secondary 1 A is enough .
240 at (240 +20 ) gives theoretic (240/260) x 240=221,5 out .
More information is here , take care that the secundary is with the right site on the primary ,
otherwise you transform UP , measuring first !! before the poor Grundig is to radio-heaven .

A more common transformer , 240- 24 , gives about 218 .
(240/(240+24))x 240 = 218
