these are the actions of the Philips 890A monoknob:

- rotating the larger knob: choose wave band
- rotating the smaller knob: choose radio station
- moving the smaller knob upwards: volume ++
- moving the smaller knob downwards: volume --
- moving the smaller knob to the right: high tones ++ (and selectivity --)
- moving the smaller knob to the left: high tones -- (and selectivity ++)
