Hi Eleen,

You can buy the B12E socket for the GS10C and GS12D Dekatrons at Ebay from UK sellers, it has the extra center electrode. The B12A socket is the normal socket without the center electrode which you can use for the E1T for instance.

If you haven't already found the website Neonixie-L you can find it here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/neonixie-l , a lot of discussions on Nixies and Dekatrons can be found there.

Otherwise feel free to contact me and we can discuss more on Dekatrons and other counting tubes like Trochotrons, Polyatrons and so on.

I'm right now putting together a Roetest valve tester (already have one but wanted a newer model) and when I have straightened out some bugs in the hardware I'll actually add test fixtures for Dekatrons and other counting tubes.

A very small and nice spinner which you can use for testing many Dekatrons, you'll have to adjust the Anode resistor and sometimes the bias voltages by changing some resistors for the rarer types of dekatrons though as the design is made for the most ordinary types is this: Dekatron Do-Hickie , you can find schematic and all else here: Do-Hickie kit text except for the firmware in the processor which is only available if you buy the kit. I have no connection with the designer of the kit, I am just a happy customer.

/Martin
