"Collectors for Collectors" zoals Herr Erb hieronder schrijft.

With the introduction of the "User Activity Control System" on March 10,
2006, we intended to bring more fairness and a certain equity into the
application of one of the fundamental principles at RMorg - namely the
(you have to) "Give" to "Take". On review after one year, it was
determined that by far the biggest beneficiaries of the programme in its
current form are the members who contribute little or nothing - in that
sense UACS turned out to be a paper tiger. As a result it was decided to
reduce the current ratio of ONE to 15,000 to a more realistic ONE to 300.

Anyone who applies only a minor fraction of his or her time spent at RMorg
to also upload information will not have to worry about the UACS. However,
a minimum of participation is expected to live up to underlying premise
of "Collectors for Collectors". The rules for admission to RMorg make this
crystal clear.

Should you have failed in this respect, the system will advise you via an
automatically generated notification. If such a notification has not been
received, you are safely within the "Green" zone and may ignore this. A
reminder (1) would put you into the "Amber" zone (500 points). Being
registered by the system (2) for calling up / downloading schematics and
full size pictures gets you squarely into "Red".

If you find yourself in "Red" (2) all it takes to get you back into good
standing is to suggest a correction to a model page, add a new model,
upload a picture, etc. and the next day, or the day after that, you will
have the "all-clear" - always provided, of course, you didn't slip too
deeply into "debt". In the unlikely event that you cannot think of a
meaningful contribution, you can always complete the Contact Form and
someone will get in touch with you. (See bottom link "Contact" on each
page).

You find your UACS (Q) rating in your member profile. If you like to
experiment what it will take to affect the "Q", click from within "Forum"
on "UACS". There, at the bottom of Post 1, you find the link to a
tabulation in the Excel format. Entering / changing figures in column "D"
leads you to "what if...". Much better, of course, is to just use a
fraction of the time you already spend with RMorg to do something for our
common cause. Then UACS will no longer be of any concern to you.

Please keep always in mind: The idea and viability of RMorg is based on
reciprocal assistance. Without it, there wouldn't be a RMorg. There are
simple tasks to assure you continued access to schematics and other
relevant information. Your contribution doesn't need to be at the same
level or ranking as the information you draw from RMorg's database.
At this time, UACS points cannot be bought. In response to many
suggestions we may consider at a later date to introduce an annual fee for
passive members. It's too early to speculate in what form that could
happen and how many points would be credited.

Cordially,
Ernst Erb
