Dear Friends

I am in the process of restoring this set. I am attaching a photo which shows a wire attached to the band switch shaft near band switch wafer SK3. Some body has cut the wire and I want to connect it its correct position. I presume it has to be connected to ground but SK3 terminals do not have any ground connection. In the schematic also this is not shown. One separate sketch of SK3 shows a wire fixed to the band switch shaft but where the other end is connected not clearly shown. I need your help.Also what is the use of this?
