Dear Friends

I am in the process of restoring this set. I am attaching a photo which shows a wire attached to the band switch shaft near band switch wafer SK3. Some body has cut the wire and I want to connect it its correct position. I presume it has to be connected to ground but SK3 terminals do not have any ground connection. In the schematic also this is not shown. One separate sketch of SK3 shows a wire fixed to the band switch shaft but where the other end is connected not clearly shown. I need your help. Also what is the use of this?[image]

Regards

Must be a ground wire.

Can not find your pointing at a schematic with a wire attached to the axes.
Can 't find that.

I see the black cut of wire on the axel and the cut off.

In the schematic the pictures of the seperate SK wafers , the dotted lines
means they are on the other side, not visable.

Dear sir

I am attaching the scan of the bottom of the component layout drg of the above set where the SK3 wafer has been shown separately on[image] the top which I have marked with a red circle. One end of the wire has been shown screwed to the band switch shaft but where the other end is connected is not clear.

Most likely the stripe square to the end of the line represents the chassis, so the connection is used to ground the axis.
In order to survive the number of bandchanges during the lifetime of the radio it has to be made of extra pliable multistranded wire. Is it?

Thanks for the extra schematic.

Of course it must be connected to gnd.

As I can see from the small cut out photo and the great amount of resoldering
currled wires etc, and the missling link or former attached point,
to me it seems a former swap-out of that complete bandswitch in the past.
