Different executions of main brand sets for export markets or produced in local factories, could have loaned different cosmetic aspects of sub brand sets. It seems a bit bold to me to state "it IS that exact set". More accurate would be "it looks very similar to that set", as there's clearly some reason they're calling it a 209U. It's a pity they don't show the type plate as there would be a non-zero execution number on it if it really is a 209U.

If produced in different countries other type numbers might have been used.....

Don't forget to also ask for a picture of the type plate.

I'm very curious what it turns out to be eventually.

The inside frame of a 209U and a Siera 104U is a little bit a look-alike.
Please ask him to sent a picture of the type plate of his radio. By the way, the typeplate of the Siera S104U is situated on te bottom of the radio as you see and not at the back cover as usual.

Hi.

The pictures of the radio.

It's a 209U made in Denmark?

Strange, but it was indeed made in Denmark.

Clues are the Danish code number on the warning label. The serial number without a letter. The chassis revision stamp starting with the letter K.

Strangest thing is that they omit the -execution number. It just says 209U on the plate.

Not only made in Denmark but also for the Danish market given the text on the back.

When I read the tech info in the document it seems that the Long Wave is fixed to Kalundborg, the Danish LW station. Used to be on 241kHz (1250 Meter) now on 243 irregularly with only 50 kW.

Can you check Carlos if it will tune on LW?

Hi.
At this time it is not possible because the radio is not working and does not have the dial scale.

Best regards,
Carlos
