schema/service-doc Philips TV/Radio 563A (Gezocht)
I am looking for any service documentation, diagrams, etc. for the Philips 563A TV/Radio. In my copy, the markings on the electronic components are difficult to read. This is a big problem during renovation. Thank you for all your help.
Adam.

Hello Aadam,
It seems available here: https://www.service-data.com/product.php/10537/14788/m20537
But, due to Brexit, only for non eu citizens.
So, find a friendly Brit who will download it for you at 1,99 GBP
Good luck with this peculiar and interesting set.
Greetings,
Henk

Thank you very much for the link. I know this website. Two years ago I bought a DVD with diagrams. At that time, there was no diagram for 563A. I need to be more up to date Thanks. On a side note - the TV is truly amazing.

Hello again Adam,
Did you actually get the TV part working again?
Using some kind of adapter 625/405 or digital/405?
I'm sure some of the other members on this forum are interested in this set.
So, if you could eventually post some kind of "restoration report" I'm sure it would be highly appreciated (certainly by me).
Good luck once more and greetings from the low lands,
Henk

I use an Aurora converter /405 standard/ and a Hedghog /each one, also pre-war/. Philips TV 563A is waiting in line for renovation. I will be happy to share information about its progress after starting work. Thank you for your kindness.

Maurice,
Great research, as usual
Now I would love to hear Adam's story about how a typically UK-only set got to Poland.
The story may be continued and might be very interesting.

Well, Poland is not at the end of the world. Sometimes an old TV comes here . The 405 line system is not uncommon. Philips receivers undoubtedly attract attention. It is worth having at least one model from this factory.

Do you have more Philips TVs?

A few more. But that's a topic beyond the scope of this post. I will certainly return to these issues on this Forum a little later.
Do you know where the 563A was manufactured? Was there a special trade agreement with GB? How many models were produced? Did it have a Mullard equivalent like many other TVs produced later?

I think whether a TV set was subject to a trade agreement or to which exact agreement, depended on where it was made. I suspect that all sets mentioned in your other post except the SG860, were made in the UK for the domestic market so only some of the parts would have been imported.
How old your set is exactly, or accurate to within a few months at least, can be determined by gathering all the date codes on parts like transformers, IF units, the picture tube, etc. and then assuming the set was made shortly after the latest code (unless there's too much difference, then a part may have been replaced during a later repair).
