If your username already exists, you have surely made an account in the past. All you need to do is login, or if you don't know the pasword anymore, reset your password.

Just to reiterate, there's no coupling between the databases so you can use any user name or mail address regardless if it's the same as here or not.

EDIT: as you were recently logged in, one of your devices probably has the password remembered or you just never logged out. Unless you recently logged out and don't know the password anymore, you should be able to log in.
