HMV 660 - Now restored (Techniek Radio/TV)
Hi Everyone
Last year I asked for help with my Australian HMV 660 which I have here in Den Haag. I would like to thank everyone that gave advice. Especially Ben Dijkman who was fantastic and repaired my dial glass very well.
I have put a picture of the finished Radio for you to see.
for more information about this type of radio see

Maybe I can help now by telling you there are 3 very good shops with many vintage radio parts in Den Haag. I was able to buy a new tube for this HMV Australian radio easily. All 3 shops are within walking distance of Den Haag Centrum
Radio Twenthe
http://www.radiotwenthe.nl/
Many tubes, knobs, tuners etc. I managed to get the tube for the HMV radio here for 12 euro
Struut en Bruin
http://www.stuutenbruin.nl/
Also many old parts available.
Radioster
070 363 0157 - no web site
some old radio stock still left. Shop has been here since 1940
I also can recommend a low power AM transmitter for your house
http://www.sstran.com/
A very good product and nice AM sound.
The HMV 660 radio does not have FM. All Radios from Australia and Newzealand never had FM tuners .. why ??
Australia got FM around 1978
The first FM station in New Zealand was 1983 !!!!
Thanks Again
Richard
