Philips 461A Restoration (Algemeen)

Hallo.
After a lot of work, I finished the restoration of this Philips.
Some before and after photos.
Problems and malfunctions:
All paper capacitors leaking.
An altered resistance.
A burnt antenna coil (obtained with the help of Henk, thanks)
Electrolytic capacitors without capacity and one not original.
Wires with deteriorated insulation.
Switch with burnt parts.
Deteriorated rubbers.
Radio painted with white paint.

Veel werk om die witte verf er af te halen. Hoe heb je dat gedaan met deze bakkeliete kast?

Veel werk om die witte verf er af te halen. Hoe heb je dat gedaan met deze bakkeliete kast?

To remove the paint, I used chemical stripper and solvent.
Then it was washed with soap and water and polished.

you have made a great effort restoring this radio, very well done indeed!
You replica tar/paper capacitors and correct colour wiring in particular giving an authentic look to it.
These radio's are very good looking and perform very well, I like them a lot.
