Looking for a CRT tube repair or a new Valvo MW6-2

[image] Subject: Looking for a CRT monochom repair (changing systems) or a new MW6-2 projection tube.

Dear radio collorctors,

My projection tubes are broken.

I have four small picture tubes of a very historic Saba Telerama or Philips television. Black white tubes. No color television.

It is type: MW6-2 from the conpany Valvo.

Two of the tubes have bad system cathode system and good screen and two have a bad screen with burned line or point but they have good system cathode.

Is it possible to change the systems in good screen tubes?

It can be done, but you need the tools and some craftmanship.

This factory is closed ,some years ago, but the tools are saved.
Thought in a technical museum.

The Craft of picture Tube Rebuilding

Then , f.i. in France ,I thought is a Tube home builder.
May be with his tools you can try to fix yours.
Then make first some good study of that picturetube rebuilding.

There must be some more vids of rebuilding CRTs.

For television it used to be a quite common practise to rebuild them with new systems.
There were several factory's for rebuilding.

So in that way it is possible.

This one I was looking for, see the equipment is saved in the museum.

Early Television Foundation member Nick Williams spent a week learning the craft of picture tube rebuilding at RACS in France before the facility closed. The RACS equipment is now installed in the Early Television Foundation's CRT laboratory at the Early Television Museum.

In het verleden werden beeldbuizen ook gereviseerd door RECTRON en ook Tungsram in Tilburg
In the past picture tubes were rebuilt bij Rectron and also by Tungsram in Tilburg the Netherlands.
They aren't active anymore.
