I suffered the same problem with my 470A after restoring it. After searching I found Mullard MAS221 documentation. On the last page is the condensor cord layout, it is the same as for the 470A.

After re-stringing the condensor you can attach the metal string that pulls the dialpointer to the condensor. The metal string is kept under tension bij a small spring at the back of the dialplate, just wind it a couple of times for the right amount of tension. If al functions well (you can move condensor from fully closed, to fully open and back) you can set the dial at the right place by losening the small screw and turn the dial to the wanted position. The dial adjustment is also mentioned in the Philips manual.
