To anticipate answers stating something like "but the X in the type number surely means Holland, doesn't it?" I'll explain a bit.

It does indeed mean Holland, but only that it was specified by the Dutch commercial department. As a rule of thumb, sets were often designed and manufactured in the same country as where the commercial specification was made up, but certainly not always.

In this case, the Wetzlar, Germany factory adapted an existing chassis as used amongst others in the B7D52A and B8D51A to the Dutch specifications and produced the B8X52A.
