Henk,
Thank you for your patience while I spoke with our engineers. It seems that you will need the resistors to connect the Model CD to your monophonic amplifier. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me. Have a great day.

Dear Miss Thompson,
thanks for your answer.

It was evident that i needed a kind of Y cable, ending in one mono connector, in this case an 1/4 inch phono jack.

Do i need to insert two resistors, e.g. 1 kilo ohm , one in each channel, or may both channels left and right hardwired tied together?

Thanks in advance for your answer

Henk,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. The Model CD has a left and right RCA output for audio, you are correct. The Model CD comes with a "y-cable" to connect to another audio device. This Y cable takes the left and right outputs of the Model CD and ties them into a single 1/8" stereo mini jack. If the device you are attaching the radio to only has a mono audio input, you should be able to purchase a cable like this, only with a mono jack at the single end instead of the stereo one that comes with the radio. I hope this has answered your question. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me. Have a great day.

Sincerely,

Sarah Thompson

L.s.
i intend to connect my Tivoli model CD to a monophonic amplifier. So i have
to tie both audiosignals (left and right) together. That can be done by
inserting a resistor in each audioline.
Question: Are those resistors needed, or are they already present in modelCD
and is it allowed to tie left and right hard together.
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Greetings from Holland
