The datasheet for the Colvern CLR5000 says it has an mechanical rotation of 290 +/-10 degrees for the CLR4000 (3 watt) and 290 +/-5 degrees for the CLR5000 (5 watt) potentiometers and 275 +/-5 degrees electrical rotation for both types. The Colvern potentiometers have a mechanical rotation of 300 +/-5 degrees and an electrical rotation of 280 +/-5 degrees. So the Colvern ones can sometimes be used if the resistance track has a usable rotation but they will not always work well.

The important things about the calibration is printed in the CT160/CT160A service manuals - make sure that the potentiometer is not used to make the dial stop at the 1 mA/V position, make sure that the delta voltage at the 2, 5 & 10mA/V positions are 52,5mV, 105mV and 260mV (Section 6 in the CT160A service manual states these points).
