Hi Fred. I will try and send you some pictures when I have re-charged my digital camera.
The actual wire is further below the first EF89 valve/ radio frequency amplifier.
I managed to get the tubes to light, but the scale lamp holder either requires repairing/replacing. The original bulb was incorrect value, and the fuse holder also requires replacing. I reckon that the metal rectifier & h.t electrolytic capacitors are faulty.
