Grundig 97 (Techniek Radio/TV)

Hi. I have a Grundig 97 a.m/ukw radio (red plastic cabinet)that I am currently restoring. It has had a "hard life", the metal rod (under chassis)has come adrift (one part is connected to the bar that the push buttons are connected to, but I am not sure about the other part & where it is fixed to).
The gain is very low on a.m bands (resistors, caps & tubes all have been checked, and metal rectifier too). It is as if the machine is switched to pick-up for record player connection).
Has anyone got more information on this radio (under chassis views, etc). I have only the basic schematic?
Is there a circuit difference between 97 and 97B (latter info marked on ukw tuner box)?
