Grundig 97 (Techniek Radio/TV)
Hi Adelbert. Many thanks for your reply (much appreciated). As I mentioned, there is a metal rod underside with a bracket coming off at an angle. One probably went to the switch bank frame, but I am not sure where the angled one went to.
I managed to get the a.m band (middengolf) working really well, the capacitor to G2 of EF89 tube was connected wrongly. The other a.m bands do work, but it is the u.k.w band that does not work (no hiss noise). There is writing on the u.k.w tuner saying 97B, but I am not sure if this is correct for my receiver?
My tube line up is ECC85, ECH81, EF89, EABC80, EL84, EM84, the metal rectifier has been replaced with a silicon bridge and resistor.
The long wave ferrite coil has been flattened a bit, not sure if I require replacement (I certainly could not rewind it)
Cheers
Mike
